<div class="MsoNormal">
Shyamsundar is the Soul of every soul and that the
individual souls constitute the body of Shyamsundar. Just as our material
body constantly serves the soul by trying to give it happiness through every
thought and action, similarly the individual soul is an eternal servant of God.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"></span>But since time
immemorial, we have accepted the body to be the self, and therefore have been
constantly trying to gratify the senses with material objects. However,
if we realize our true nature as eternal servants of Shree Krishna, there will
be neither a delay in attaining Him, nor a need to practice further spiritual
discipline. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
The soul does not perform actions and the
actions of the sense organs are not accepted as actions even in the material
world, what to speak then of the spiritual realm! Even in the material
world a person is not punished if it is proven that he did not intentionally
commit a crime. Let us say you are driving. You are on the correct
side of the road, you are within the speed limit, and the brakes in your car
are in perfect condition. Suddenly someone comes from the wrong side,
crosses the road and gets hit by your car. You will not be held
responsible although the accident may have resulted in death. Why?
Because you did not kill anyone intentionally. Someone lunges at you with
a knife and you punch him in self-defence, and that blow results in his
death. Again, you are not held responsible, since it was not your intent
to kill him. You merely attacked him in self-defence, and he died.
Even worldly courts judge a crime by motive. In the same way, the
spiritual government too is solely concerned with the motive behind our
actions. Actions performed by the sense organs are not taken into
consideration. Had they been taken into account, we would have realized
God not just once but innumerable times by now. In infinite lifetimes, we
have chanted the names of God countless times; we have touched the feet of
innumerable Saints; we have seen innumerable descensions of God. With all
this, we should have realized God not once, but countless times. But all this
was just a physical drill, an external show. We chanted the names of God
with our tongue, bowed our head before Him and the Saints, yet remained
attached to the world from within. There is something within that has to
surrender. It is the inner mechanism – the mind - that has to realize
that ‘I am a servant of Shree Krishna.’ It is not the soul that has to
surrender, because the soul is not the performer of actions. If the soul
were the doer then we would not have been in the bad shape we are in today.
The soul merely passes judgement on everything grasped by the senses. Our
eyes see something and report it to the mind. The mind likes what the
eyes have seen, and passes the information on to the intellect. The
intellect is unable to make a decision, so the soul gives the judgement.
“No, this is not what I want.” Again, the senses go to work to present
something else to the soul for approval. In this way, we have spent
countless lifetimes in infinite universes, seeing, hearing, tasting, touching
and smelling the world, and each time the soul has decided, “This is not
mine.” “Then what is yours; what is it that you want?” “I do not
know, but when I get it, I will immediately tell you, ‘Stop! Stop!
Now all you servants can go and rest.’” But until the soul attains what
it is looking for – God – none of its servants can rest even for a moment.</div>

The senses, mind and intellect will have to serve the soul
each and every moment. They cannot resign or revolt. The performer
of every action is the antahkaran, the internal machinery, which have defined
in detail as the mind, intellect, and ego collectively. It is sometimes
defined as the mind plus intellect, and sometimes as just the mind.
Everything depends upon this machinery. Bondage and liberation; pleasure
and pain; the goals we set for ourselves, and the process to attain them, all
depend upon the mind. This mind is very intriguing.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
it is this extraordinary mind that has to be surrendered to
God. It is the mind that has to think, “Shyamsundar is mine.” It is
the mind that has to practice devotion. Everything depends upon the mind.</div>

The Vedas are God's own statements. So in Vedas God has said
that every soul's mother, father, brother friend everything - is me alone. The
people who make relations of mother, father, and brother in the world they are
quite naive. Because they don't have even this much scenes that when we will
die someone else will become our mother and father. And who knows -
instead of a human some dog or cat may become our mother and father.
Countless lives have passed so we must have countless fathers, must have
made countless mothers, countless wives, husbands, daughters. Where are
they? How can they be ours?<br />
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"></span>Just like Waves arise
from the ocean, sometimes two waves meet each other and stay together for some
time, and then separate. So the relationship of one to another is temporary. But
with the ocean every wave's relationship is eternal. In the same way,
this body will one day go away. When it goes away this soul that is
seated inside will go into a different body. Then that body's mother will become
our mother. There are 8.4 millions types of bodies. We have gone into all of
them because of our sins. This human body is attained very, very rarely. Even
the celestial gods don't always receive it. </div>
<br />
Subala Upanishad of the Vedas says "God is our mother,
Father, brother, home, shelter, friend and goal". “O souls I alone am your
mother, your father, your brother”. I am your everything. This world of Maya or
these bodies of Maya all these are perishable. None of these are yours. Again
and again you lie and cheated "this is my father" but he left you.
Then you made a new father. Again you said "this is my father". He
also left you. This is all just a drama of a few days. Like when a movie is
made, in a movie there are many characters. And they keep changing. In this
movie he became a hero. She became a heroin. In the second movie that hero is
acting as a beggar. In the third movie he became another's son. He is not
really his son. And the actor understands this too that this is not my wife and
this is not my son. We have formed these relationships too make a movie and
earn money. As soon as their roles in the movie end, they bid goodbye. Now if
some hero said “o heroin come to my house” then a case would be filed against
him. How such dirty and sinful persons men and women of bad character become Sita,
Rama and Krishna! But at least they know who they really are. But we people are
so foolish that we are not able to know that 'I am a soul'. My father, my
mother, my everything is God. This body is mine but it is not me. And you see
with your own eyes that he died. Died meaning what? His body died he did not
die. He merely left. That which left - that is the true 'I'.
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
When Abhimanyu died the Kauravs tricked him and killed him at
that time Arjun began to cry, And told God “let me see my son once more”. God
said ' You have been seeing him for so many years'. 'What will Happen if i show
him to you once more?' <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>‘No please show
him to me'. So he called him. Arjun saw him and said ' My son' He replied don't
you dare call me son'. Your son is lying there I have left him behind. Keep him
with you. But i have burned him. Why did you burn him? You could have
kept him with you. You have become my son countless times. Why are you in this
illusion? No one is anyone's son here. If one realizes this firmly, fully, one
hundred percent firmly then our attachment to everyone would be finished. Then
attaching our mind to God is very easy Effortless. Only these are all holding
us back these fake people. So my lord - you have said in the Vedas that I am
your mother, father etc then ask how your son is doing? </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
We have 5 relationships with you. The soul's master, The
soul's friend, The soul's son, the soul's father, The soul's husband. You are
our everything; you say so in the Vedas yourself. And we see with our own eyes.
All these body's relatives left us and went away. The relationship ended
with death. They are shouting where did they go? Where are you going my
father? ‘O husband’, you told me “we would always be together”. Be quite what
husband and what father? I am going according to my karmas. No if you have
forcibly formed a relationship, then cry! This is your mistake. You don't have
even this much intelligence that you will have to go alone. You don't have this
much sense - you came alone from the womb. Yes I know all this. If you know
then why are you not able to practice it? This is the gist of it.</div>

<br />
<br />
Our little Kanhaiya is expert in telling tales. One day he comes to
mother Yashoda and concocting a stories says, "Oh Maiya! These Gopis of
Braj are bent on creating trouble for us. Maiya! they are very clever
and you know very well how very innocent I am. I am devoid of any
deception, you know it well. Maiya! see me alone, these Gopis with
their hearts full of poison, call me in extremely sweet tone. When, due
to my simple nature, I go to them without suspecting anything, they
pounce on me and invites me to their house to have some butter.
Believing their words to be genuine, I go along with them. But their
hearts are full of deceit because once there, everyone of them grabs me
and makes me dance, and hit me on my cheeks with their knuckles."<br />
"O'Maiya!
you won't believe what goes on there! one would tug on my pitambara
(saffron cloth) and one would pull my anklets. Another would try to
steal my flute and some one else will snatch my garland. And if you are
wondering as to why I keep on going back to them everyday, I'll explain
to you that as well. Maiya! they all make me swear on Baba's (father)
head to return the following day. After that, they all smear curd all
over my face, all the while laughing and clapping their hands together.
Then, they take hold of my hands and drag me home to you and make all
sorts of stories, falsely accusing me of stealing their curds."<br />
"O'
my sweet and simple Maiya! to what extent can I say, I have had enough
of their pranks. And if you ask me why I do nothing in retaliation, the
thing is that I am just a little boy, and each and every one of them
are giantess."<br />
Hearing such stories, all the Gopis who were hiding
and listen to Kanhaiya started to laugh and were drowned in the ecstasy
of divine love for the little tale teller- Kanhaiya.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03581605587111684392noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3733425071648068506.post-39348884372582921422014-04-02T06:40:00.002-07:002014-05-21T23:19:51.378-07:00Engrossed in Krishna Love [Kripalu Quotes]<div class="MsoNormal">

<span style="text-align: justify;">An incredible 1987 lecture by Jagadguru Shree Kripaluji Maharaj on self-written keertan titled "Tum Hi Maan Lo Haar". A must-watch!</span><br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
In this keertan Shree Maharajji says that a rasik saint tells his beloved Lord, O Shyamsundar, you be the one to accept defeat." He further says that the sentence implies that someone is fighting with Shree krishna and neither party is losing. So a third party says, "O Shyamsundar, you be the one to accept defeat." This statement is asking Shree Krishna to accept defeat which is not right because there is no personality that Shree Krishna cannot defeat. Who can fight with God? But here both parties look equal in strength because neither party is losing. So he tells one party, "You accept defeat." Now which party is fighting against Shree Krishna, and what will happen at the end?<br />

<b style="color: blue;">Translation of Lecture by Shree Maharajji</b><br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
Everyone knows that worldly attainments are transient, and
that God is the only reality. When a death occurs, we say, "Ram Naam
Satya Hai (The only reality is the name of God)." So, when we know
that the world cannot give us happiness, then to make material demands from God
is in-discrimination. Let us understand why it is wrong to askGod for
worldly things.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBdjz-8by2vzlj7NLziI_KvQOkEauwyi3oBdOAwV5yQun8XLm-6fjj6IyAZKZpIAqZ6femQ94WlAi2Qj7XaMhQJdnxSLS87bQChLJRQM7MEi_aBEskM-HE7phTP4jAq5M330pDQ7-MiRE/s1600/DSC_0967.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="267" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBdjz-8by2vzlj7NLziI_KvQOkEauwyi3oBdOAwV5yQun8XLm-6fjj6IyAZKZpIAqZ6femQ94WlAi2Qj7XaMhQJdnxSLS87bQChLJRQM7MEi_aBEskM-HE7phTP4jAq5M330pDQ7-MiRE/s400/DSC_0967.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
First, we must love God, only then do we have a basis of
asking Him for anything at all. Even in the world, we ask only from those
people whom we love and with whom we have a relationship, not from just anyone
and everyone. It would be a joke to ask God for something when we have no
love for Him. Therefore, we should not make this mistake as long as we
still love the world.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
There is an incident about Ramakrishna Paramhans. He
developed throat cancer. Everyone knew that the Saint's death was
imminent. He was famous in Kolkata and all over Bengal as a Saint who had
transformed many lives. So, people went to him and said, "You have
attained perfection. To rid yourself of cancer is child's play for
you. Just ask God to cure you, and your cancer will
disappear." Ramakrishna Paramhans replied strictly, "Should I
divert my mind from God to worrying about cancer? And how can I ask God
to do such dirty work for me? I have loved God only with the desire to
serve Him. I cannot engage in such pettiness and ask for His help just
for the sake of this wretched body. Moreover, even if I am cured, I will
still have to leave my body at the appointed time.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
Whether it is a sage, an ascetic, a yogi, a Saint or even
God, everyone has to leave the world at the appointed time. The world may
say that so-and-so died of heart attack, or cancer, but the fact is that his
time to die had arrived. Even God does not stay a moment longer than the
scheduled period of His descension. Then how can anyone else stay beyond
his appointed time? You may have heard of an incident in Ayodhya in this
context. Yamraj came to Lord Ram to tell Him that the period of His
descension was over. When Yamraj comes to God and the Saints, he places
his head at their feet and says, "I have come to inform you that the
period of Your descension is complete. You may choose to stay or
leave. I am merely fulfilling my duty." He cannot force them
to leave as he does for others. Yet, the supremely independent Ram did
not stay a moment longer than His planned 11,000 years. At the exact time,
to the second, He left the world. And this is true for every descension
of God, and every Saint, whether it be Tulsidas, Surdas, Meera,orKabir.
Seeing that even God, who is the lawmaker Himself, does not violate this rule,
then why should the Saints, who are His servants break the law?</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
When we say we do not wish to die, it can be for two
possible reasons. One reason is that we are too attached to the world-to
wealth, home, father, mother, wife, son-and still wish to enjoy them, and so do
not wish to leave. On the other hand, elevated aspirants have a sensible
reason for not wanting to die. They think, "I have not attained God
as yet. If I had some more time I could achieve my goal." They
want more time, just like students who become very happy when given a few extra
days to study for exams. But, God and Saints have nothing to
attain. They leave at the appropriate time, without any reluctance.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
So, Ramakrishna Paramhans said, "Everyone has to leave
at the scheduled time. I have no objection to this hole in my
throat. This body has nine holes anyway-the eyes, nose, ears, mouth,
etc. So what if there is one more! It would be very wrong to bother
the Divine Mother over it." Thus, asking God for worldly favours is
the greatest folly. This should not be done even after becoming a
devotee. It is said in Bhagavat:</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #cc0000;">yatpṛithvyāṁ vṛīhiyavaṁ hiraṇyaṁ paśhavaḥ striyaḥ</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #cc0000;">nālamekasya paryāpt tasmāttṛiṣhṇāṁ parityajet
</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
"Even if one is given the wealth of infinite universes,
his desires, cravings and longings will not reduce in the least." </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #cc0000;">tṛiṣhṇā tu taruṇāyate (Hitopadesh)</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
"When you try to satisfy desires, they grow
stronger." Thus, worldly opulence, no matter how great, cannot
provide true happiness. So, it is foolish to desire worldly
objects. But, to ask for them from God is even greater foolishness.
Devotion, which is practiced with the aim of attainment of material
desires, has many dangers. Firstly, it is clear that, the devotee is not
yet sure where true happiness lies-in the world, or in God? If it is in
the world, then what is the need of God? If it is in God, then what is
the need for this world? If our goal is to attain happiness, then going
to God, who is the source of unlimited bliss and asking Him for the world,
which is a source of misery, evidently implies that we still have hopes of
getting unlimited happiness from the world. When our goal itself is
not right, then how can we practice devotion?</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
In the material realm, ninety-nine percent of the people
desire worldly things. These desires are often fulfilled by their own prarabdh
(destiny). When material possessions are acquired by people according to
their destiny, they misunderstand it as the blessing or Grace of God.
When people pray to God and wish for a material thing, if that desire is
fulfilled, people think that it was due to the blessing they received from
God. And, when they do not receive these possessions due to their
destiny, they start cursing or criticizing God, and even think it as a sign of
God's anger. This is dangerous as it has a harmful effect. A person
will be a believer as long as he acquires worldly possessions, and when the
material desires are not fulfilled, this faith in God immediately disappears
and he can even become an atheist. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
Not even God can grant a person worldly gains, if it is not
destined for him. Whatever worldly happiness is destined for each person
is given to him according to his fate. The results of past actions are
awarded in the present life. In Ramayan, the Almighty Lord Ram could not
save His father Dashrath. In Mahabharat, Abhimanyu's uncle was God Shree
Krishna Himself, his father was the great Saint, Arjun, and the person who
conducted his marriage was God Ved Vyas. Yet, they could not save him
from being killed in the battle. Then how can God change the destiny of
an ordinary person? </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
Lastly, lack of worldly happiness is actually God's Grace,
because in this state we remember God. Kunti also asked for this wish
from God, "O Shree Krishna! Give me sorrow and pain, so that due to the
lack of material pleasures, I can chant Your glories."</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
God is all-knowing and whatever He does, is for our benefit,
then why do we interfere and ask Him for anything? We do not know what is
best for us. Therefore, if we always remember that God is Omniscient and
leave everything to Him, then the disease of asking will never arise.
